The confectionery manufacturers to visit at WorldFood Moscow 2019

Lacasa – Spain

A veteran in chocolate manufacturing if there ever was one, Spanish company Lacasa Group is most known for Lacasa Chocolate, which was born in the Pyrenean town of Jaca in 1852. As a family-owned and -operated business, the delectable recipes and carefully selected ingredients of Lacasa Chocolates have been passed down from generation to generation.

From truffles to nougat, chocolate dragees and chocolate bars, the products range from milk to dark chocolate, and everything in between. As well as these sweet treats, Lacasa Chocolates manufactures a range of hot chocolate products including a cup of chocolate tablet and chocolate cup powder.

As the company grew, Lacasa Group has now evolved to include more confectionery manufacturers outside of Spain – these include Bombones Una, La Cibeles, IBERCACAO and Chocolaterie de Bourgogne.

Ooh La La Confectionary – South Africa

A former legal practitioner in South Africa, founder Karen Schneid discovered a love for a French confection unique to the Aix-en-Provence region called calisson back in 1993. What began with Karen perfecting the art of making these French confections out of her kitchen, has since grown to become the award-winning Ooh La La Confectionery.

The list of products on offer from Ooh La La Confectionery includes traditional French nougats, gourmet marshmallows, caramelised-nut Pebbles, Turkish Delight and flavour-infused chocolates such as a Japanese-French fusion range. The team of twenty working for the confectionery manufacturer have been trained in the art of French and world confectionery, sharing a passion for confection that goes far beyond that initial love for the artisanal calisson where it all began.

HMTO Company – Egypt

If you’re looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, Egyptian confectionery manufacturer HMTO Company will have just what you’re looking for. The company has more than nine years’ experience in producing drops candy, as well as lollipops, gum, mints and crispy chocolate. HMTO imports, exports, manufactures, packs and distributes confectionery, but is considered an expert in manufacturing and distributing drops candy.

To ensure the standardisation and quality of its products, HMTO is officially approved and registered as an Egyptian organisation, obtaining its ISO 22000 and OHSAS 18000 certifications annually for quality and specifications.

Indo Trade International – India

As one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of confectionery out of New Delhi, India, Indo Trade International is on a mission to spread smiles alongside its range of sweet goods. From its humble beginnings, Indo Trade International has now grown to become both a leading manufacturer and exporter of confectionery in India.

What’s on the menu? Indo Trade International, which now also runs Sweet King India, manufacturers chocolate, candy, liquid candy, 3D lollipops, swirl lollipops, compressed tablets and chewing gum. There’s something for every buyer looking to get their hands on what the Indian confectionery market has to offer.

Cerere Fattore Siculo – Italy

As well as its savoury delights – including arancini, cured meats and cheese – Cerere Fattore Siculo offers up a selection of mouth-watering Sicilian sweet spreads and pastries. From a pistachio pesto made with pistachios from the slopes of Etna, to a creamy hazelnut spread created with lightly toasted and ground hazelnuts, these artisanal products are ideal for everything from filling desserts to spreading on toast at breakfast.

Chef Lucia Mazzullo approaches the production of the confectionery and all other products on offer from Cerere Fattore Siculo with the utmost respect for the land and traditions of Sicily. You can see this in everything from the almond pastries to the cannolo waffles, as well as the Martorana fruit – a typical marzipan-like Sicilian cake that is famous for its shape and appearance being the perfect imitation of fruit.
